This was the first occasion that the Norwegian Pearl had been into a UK port, and what a celebration it was. The ship was extremely large but not large enough to lose you as there was always friendly pointers along the way to help you get to where you were going. We ate in the Indigo restaurant, the food was lovely and the waiters were attentive but not pushy. We spent alot of time in the Magnum champagne and wine bar, where although busy, you could get served in very little time. We then moved onto the Stardust theatre for the evening show which was very modern and featured famous BMX stunt riders, skateboarders and rollerbladers along with the usual dancing and singing, the whole combination was compiled superbly. We also managed to take in the Spinnaker Lounge which was holding a 60's and 70's night with Austin Powers present (the cruise director!!). The evening finished in the Bliss nightclub, which although compact, seemed remarkabley spacious, especially when you consider that there were two bowling lanes on either side of it (all lit up in a very glow in the dark manner). I was very fortunate to be able to take in all the different grades of cabin on the ship (although I only had a basic inside to stay in), however even from the very lowest grade there was plenty of room to swing a cat (even though I had to technically use my room mate), and everything you could really need including a tv (with bridge cam and normal shows), excellent decor, and a well stocked bathroom with a superb shower. In higher grades of cabins you got large flat screen tv's, mini grand piano's (that play themselves!!), and lots more luxuries. All in all this is probably the best cruise ship I have been on and can see why NCL are doing so well in a very competitive industry. I look forwards to visiting her sister ship the Norwegian Gem (same layout) in 2007 (hopefully).
