The Oriana is a wonderful ship, and we were fortunate enough to book a balcony cabin just behind the bridge. I mention this because we were asked by The Captain (Hamish) if we would mind our cabin being used to take some promotional shots for next years (09) brochure. If you have a copy of the P&O Worldwide Exotic Brochure Jan-April 09 turn to page 68 and you will see the phote with a couple (models) on our balcony. As a reward we were invited onto the Bridge to see how the ship sailed away from the Port of Madeira - fantastic!
We had a great time on the cruise and met some lovely people.
Best Tip - if you go to the Canaries its worthwhile booking a hire car (about £40) which gives you the freedom of the island for a day, and you are able to see just what you want - you can do this from www.book-my-holiday.co.uk/candocarhire
