I was lucky enough to be invited to spend a night on the MS Eurodam. On arrival at Southampton she did look like any other ship but once we stepped onboard wow you could tell she was a 5* ship. When we got onboard we were met straight away and shown to our cabin. The cabin was a deluxe Verandah and it was very nice! The balcony had lots of space and the bed was huge! We had a bath in our bathroom which i expected to be a little cramped but it wasn't there was plenty of space. All the cabins had flat screen televisions and DVD players and a sitting area and table which was nice as it felt like a separate sitting area. After we had settled in our cabin we went to the Lido restaurant for some lunch and there was so much too choose from!! After lunch is when we went for a good look round the ship, the first thing that caught my eye was the area around the Lido Pool. The sun loungers were so comfortable and at the huge big round beds that were at the edge so you could lay and relax and look out at sea. Just along from the pool was the Spa area which was wonderful and the Hydro pool in there was very inviting, the area was very peaceful and tranquil. There is a good variety of bars ranging from sports bars to wine bars to the Crows Nest which was at the top of the ship and this was a relaxing bar, the crows nest also had the Coffee shop/Library adjoining to it, the library was very well laid out and there was a big selection of books and DVDs that you could borrow. Whilst walking around the ship I noticed all the wonderful art work that is on display and that the layout of the ship was good with everything blending into each other. I had a look at Club Hal which is the kids club I wasn't overly impressed as there didn't seem to be as much for children, i have seen alot better on other ships. After walking it was then time for dinner which was in the Rembrandt three tier restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic and so was the service from the waiters, they couldn't do enough for you. After dinner we sat and relaxed in the Ocean Bar which was perfect for relaxing after dinner. The show was brilliant they are like watching a West End show. It was then time to head of to bed in those nice big comfortable beds!!! In the morning it was back to the Lido Restaurant for breakfast and I didn't know what to have! There was far too much to choose from!! Then before we had to get off we went for a little lay down in the silk den which was heaven!! it was the most relaxing beds which have silk curtains making up little booths with two serparate beds and you can be pampered here. I would recommend this ship to anyone that is looking for a 5* ship with wonderful service and lots of facilities onboard. This is one of the best ships I have seen!!
