Four of us (Mr & Mrs D and S Darbyshire, my husband B Nealon and I Mrs W M Nealon) have just returned from a cruise on Ocean Village to the Greek Islands. This is our third cruise. The first was with Thomsons in 1996 on the Sapphire fourteen nights western med, the second was on Holland America to Alaska 7 days in 2006. although we enjoyed both the latter cruises, we were extremely impressed with Ocean View. The self service food was excellent being plentiful and very varied. We did not have a bad meal in all the fourteen days we were on board. The ports of call were very good. One very slight criticism we would make would be that a shuttle bus is required in Corfu. they did provide them for other ports where required so why they did not have one for Corfu is puzzling. In hot weather it is a long walk into the old town. We considered that Ocean View far surpassed Holland America (which is a high class line) regarding the food. We certainly did not feel the need to pay extra to go into the Bistro, La Luna restaurants although if you have a special celebration then they are an option. We have no doubts whatsoever in recommending Ocean View except we worry by doing so, the price will rise. Currently it is excellent value for money - you get what you pay for. The relaxing dress code allows people to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. You can dress up or remain casual which makes for a more leisurely and relaxing holiday. Well done Ocean View!!
