The Ocean Village is a really comfortable ship. The basic cabins were quite spacious, quiet with extras to make life easier i.e. beach/pool towels, hairdryer, tv, radio, kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits daily. the bathroom had bath some products. These little extras do make a difference. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The bars and restaurants provided ample choice. The only bad points for us was that there was no \'special captains cocktail party\' or similar to make everyone feel a little spoilt for one evening and that it is all self service. in the restaurants unless you are prepared to pay extra for waiter service. This I felt spoilt the holiday a little. Ocean Village do say that they are for \'people who don\'t do cruises\' i.e. very relaxed but part of a holiday is also making an effort in the evenings and being made to feel special with waiter service. Although a little \'too relaxed\' for our liking we have booked with Ocean Village again this year because they are good value for money and visit the right islands for us.
