Decided to try Grand Princess around the Med.
First impressions of the ship were very good, but that was to change. On the Sunday sailing out we went up for breakfast. It was virtually standing room only. By the time we had found a table we were beside the open air pool, an area not covered by waiters and so had to back track to get cutlery. Result - Cold breakfast. This happened on three mornings. Lunch was not quite as bad. Many times waiters in the food court would be asking if any drinks were required. Ask for a coffee and you were lucky to get it.
The food court was also a main thoroughfare between the pools and rear stairs, possibly because the centre stairwell as shown on the deck plans did not exist, and not everyone wishes to use an elevator
We still enjoyed the holiday although the edge was taken off. Grand Princess has got a lot to learn from Sea Princess which we have sailed on in the past and was superb
