Getting Started
We know that starting to take a more holistic approach to well-being can be a little overwhelming. For help, try our VitalitySM workshops for expert advice on stress and relaxation, nutrition and weight management, and health and fitness.

Menu Items
Fuel up on fresh options. For a quick pick-me-up, try energy bars, protein and green tea drinks, and Tazo teas. Plus, you'll be pleased to find healthy (and tasty) Vitality choices on the dining menus, including trans fat-free foods and meals prepared with the freshest ingredients.

Smoking Policy
We're pleased to announce a breath of fresh air for our guests – a new onboard smoking policy. We have now increased the onboard smoke-free zones by designating all staterooms and one lounge on each ship as non-smoking areas.

Fitness Centre

Our Fitness Centre has all the equipment that major sports clubs do: weight machines, free weights, stationary spin bikes, stair steppers, treadmills, sauna, whirlpool, steam room and thermal suites. Plus a sweeping ocean view that extends for miles! We also offer all the latest classes, from pilates to spinning to kickboxing, for all levels.

The aerobics programme features dynamic, multilevel, easy-to-follow combinations set to the latest music. Suitable for all ages, this class is a must!

Shape Up/Step Up
The step programme consists of dynamic, easy-to-follow moves, featuring simple transitions and great music.

Pathway to Yoga
Our yoga programme brings the philosophies of yoga to life on board our ships. Featuring familiar postures and breathing techniques, the programme offers two levels of classes.

Shape Up/Pump Up
This resistance training programme features exacting moves while creating a balance in postural motion. Great music and great results are guaranteed.

Wheels in Motion
Our group cycling programme features profiled formats, such as endurance rides, all-terrain rides, interval rides, and mind and body journeys. You're going to sweat and you're going to love it. The Wheels in Motion programme is not available on Enchantment of the Seas, Legend of the Seas or Splendour of the Seas.

Shape Up/Firm Up
This conditioning programme focuses on the abdominals, hips and thighs. Every instructor is an expert in providing activities that reach the hard-to-get places.

Aquamotion
The aqua programme features a water workout that both challenges and supports the body.

Combat in Motion
This Vitality programme is a fusion of Eastern martial arts practices and Western dynamic aerobic conditioning. Set to the hottest music, this programme is great fun!

Circuits in Motion
This circuit programme is a dynamic fast track to fitness. Cardio and resistance work are formatted to produce great results fast.

Wake Up/Shape Up
The Walk-a-Mile programme provides an eclectic mind and body combination that focuses on core abdominal strength, posture, flexibility and relaxation.

Balance in Motion
The Balance in Motion programme provides a varied mind and body regime that focuses on core abdominal strength, posture, flexibility and relaxation.

Sports Deck

Basketball Court
A full-size basketball court at sea? We say, why not? So we put them on our Freedom and Voyager class ships – just don't let the ball go out of bounds. Equipment is available on our Sports Decks and all ages are welcome.

Basketball Half-Court
Our basketball courts are so popular that for our Radiance and Sovereign class ships we've put in half-courts. These courts can also be used for volleyball, and, as always, all the equipment is available on our Sports Decks.

Running Track
If running fast doesn't do it, the view just might take your breath away. You'll find running tracks on every ship in our fleet. The tracks are open to anyone but running shoes are recommended.

Golf Simulator
Want to get ready for a big match at the next port? If you're sailing on a Freedom, Voyager or Radiance Class ship, we've got just the thing to help you work out that swing. Our realistic golf simulator is a great tool for perfecting your game. And it's a whole lot of fun too. A small fee is required.

Golf Course
If you just can't wait until we get to shore, you can have a quick golf game right on the ship. Our small course doesn't allow for long drives but it's a great place to perfect that short game. Golf courses are available on Freedom, Voyager and Radiance Class ships, Splendour of the Seas and Legend of the Seas.

SeaTrek Scuba

Most of the world is covered by water. Take the PADI Scuba Diver course on board and discover what you've been missing. This quick and easy course was designed with the holidaymaker in mind.

The PADI Scuba Diver programme is a wonderful and exciting opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and security of having an experienced PADI SeaTrek Dive Instructor beside you every step of the way. Throughout the course you'll learn the basics of diving through participation in pool dives, knowledge development sessions and two exciting dives in some of the best locations in the world. Upon completion of the short course, you will be awarded the PADI Scuba Diver certification. PADI certifications are the most recognised forms of diver education worldwide. Your certification is like your passport, allowing you beginner level access to some of the best diving in the world. It also allows you to pursue further training in diving. You can sign up on board.

In addition, scuba gear, dive computers, and mask/snorkel and fins packages can be purchased on board at no-tax and duty-free prices. Participants must be at least 12 years old.

Rock Climbing Wall

Our signature rock climbing walls are our most popular feature and are available on all Royal Caribbean cruise ships. Whether it's your first time on a rock wall or you're a seasoned climber, there are challenges for all levels of experience. We'll provide all of the equipment, including shoes, helmets and harnesses. All you need to do is bring a pair of socks and, of course, your sense of adventure.

Age Requirements
While rock climbing can be fun for both children and adults, climbers must be 6 years of age or older and minors must be accompanied by an adult. We also ask each climber to sign a waiver.

Climbing Instruction
For beginners, we offer one-to-one instruction by appointment at no charge, as well as beginner climbing sessions. For those who are more experienced, there are advanced climbing sessions, speed-climbing competitions and for teens, teen tournaments.

FlowRider®

Only Royal Caribbean gives you the chance to surf on board a ship. The sloped, wave-like surface of the FlowRider is perfect for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. And the surrounding stadium seating and bar are great for watching wipe-outs. Try it out on our Freedom class ships.

Who would ever think to put a surfing attraction on board a ship? Well obviously, we would. The FlowRider surf simulator attracts hundreds of eager surfers and spectators to the aft sports court each day. Even guests who never thought they'd try something like this are giving it a go.

How It Works
The FlowRider sends a thin sheet of water up a sloped and (thankfully) cushioned platform to create a wave-like flow of water. So it's perfect for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. After receiving safety instructions and a few tips for a successful ride from our instructors, you can let rip, standing up (flowboarding) or lying down (bodyboarding). Carve, try tricks and generally show off your surfing skills as spectators cheer you on from the surrounding viewing platform. If you hear a collective 'Owww' as you wipe out, you'll know you've been broadcast on the flat-screen tv's in the adjacent Wipe Out! bar.

YSPA Policies

Parental Consent
All teens must have their parent's consent before receiving treatments. A parent or guardian must sign the teen's client consultation form acknowledging their consent.

Guests Under 18
All guests under the age of 18 receiving massage treatments are required to wear their bathing suits during treatments. For guests under 16 years of age, a parent or guardian must be present for treatments performed in private rooms.

Parental Supervision
All teen YSPA treatments will be performed by a female therapist. Parents are not required to be present during treatments; however, they are welcome and encouraged to attend if they choose to do so.

Restrictions
Teen guests are only allowed to receive the treatments noted on the teen/YSPA menu. No deviations from the menu are allowed. Teen guests are not permitted in the sauna or steam rooms.

Fitness Frenzy Classes
All Fitness Frenzy classes will be held at the aerobics studio or a place designated by the Fitness Director. Only teens 16 and above may participate in the Fitness Frenzy classes.
